Returns & warranty
What's covered, for how long, and how to claim. Written to be read, not to hide behind.
Placeholder copy — the return window, restocking terms and warranty periods below are drafted from the agreed design brief and still need the owner's final wording and a legal review before launch.
The 7-day condition guarantee
Every used laptop is sold with a written condition report — measured battery health, cycle count, cosmetic notes and anything wrong with it. If the machine you receive doesn't match that report, you have 7 days from delivery to send it back for a full refund, and we cover the return shipping.
This is the promise the whole grading system rests on. If we got the description wrong, that's our cost to carry, not yours.
Change-of-mind returns
If the laptop is exactly as described but you've simply changed your mind, get in touch within 7 days and we'll do what we can. The machine must come back complete, undamaged and with everything it shipped with. A restocking deduction may apply, and return shipping is at your cost.
If you chose Reserve & inspect in store, none of this applies — you saw the machine before paying, and you were free to walk away.
Warranty periods
- New laptops — 12 months, backed by the manufacturer warranty.
- Used, Grade A and B — 6-month store warranty on parts and labour.
- Used, Grade C — 3-month store warranty on parts and labour.
- Accessories — 30 days against manufacturing defects.
What the warranty covers
Normal-use failures of the machine itself:
- Motherboard, RAM, storage, display panel and internal component failures.
- Keyboard, trackpad, ports, speakers, webcam and Wi-Fi faults.
- Charging faults, including a failed charger we supplied.
- Anything that stops working which our testing said was working.
What it doesn't cover
- Accidental damage — drops, cracked screens, dents, crushed lids.
- Liquid damage of any kind.
- Further normal battery capacity loss over time (the health at purchase is stated on the listing).
- Damage from unauthorised repairs or opening the machine yourself.
- Software problems, viruses, or data loss — always keep your own backups.
- Consumables and cosmetic wear from ordinary use.
How to make a claim
Message us on WhatsApp or bring the laptop to the shop with your order number. We'll diagnose it, then repair or replace, and keep you updated while we do. Claims are handled at our shop — you don't need to deal with a manufacturer service centre for a store-warranty claim.
Turnaround is typically 3–7 working days depending on parts. If a repair isn't economical, we'll offer a replacement of equal specification or a refund.
Refund timing
Once we receive and inspect a returned laptop, refunds are issued within 3–5 working days to the original payment method. Bank transfers go back to the account they came from. Cash-on-delivery orders are refunded by bank transfer to an account in your name.
